About The Position

BHCHP is seeking a visionary and collaborative IT Infrastructure Manager to help advance our mission through secure, resilient, and modern technology systems. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this role provides leadership in the planning, implementation, and support of BHCHP’s technology infrastructure. The Infrastructure Manager will guide the design of systems that are reliable, scalable, and secure—ensuring our clinical and operational teams can deliver exceptional care. This role requires a thoughtful balance of innovation, cybersecurity, operational reliability, and user-centered design in a healthcare environment where technology is essential to patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible technical experience in IT infrastructure engineering or operations.
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience managing technical staff.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure in complex environments, preferably within healthcare.
  • Strong working knowledge in areas such as:
  • Microsoft ecosystem including Microsoft 365 and identity management
  • Enterprise networking, including routing, switching, WAN technologies, wireless infrastructure, and network access control
  • Windows server administration, Active Directory, and enterprise messaging environments
  • Virtualization and cloud infrastructure
  • Cybersecurity best practices, including network monitoring, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management
  • IP telephony / unified communications systems
  • Secure remote access and distributed workforce support
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to exceptional internal customer service.
  • Flexibility and composure when responding to urgent operational or clinical needs.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Strategy & Architecture
  • Lead the planning, design, and continuous improvement of BHCHP’s IT infrastructure to ensure scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies that support BHCHP’s operations, care delivery, and organizational growth.
  • Establish and maintain standardized hardware, software, and system configurations across the organization.
  • Cybersecurity & Risk Management
  • Ensure infrastructure systems support compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare privacy and security standards.
  • Partner with the CIO to strengthen cybersecurity posture, including network segmentation, endpoint protection, monitoring, and threat detection.
  • Oversee infrastructure controls that protect sensitive patient and operational data.
  • Systems & Network Operations
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure systems, including:
  • Enterprise networking and wireless infrastructure
  • Cloud platforms and virtualization environments
  • Identity and access management systems
  • Unified communications and VoIP systems
  • Remote access technologies
  • Physical security and facility technology systems
  • Ensure reliable and secure connectivity across multiple clinical sites and remote workforce environments.
  • Business Continuity & Resilience
  • Maintain robust backup and recovery systems and regularly evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Lead infrastructure planning for disaster recovery and business continuity, ensuring critical systems remain available during disruptions.
  • Conduct testing and improvement of recovery procedures.
  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to members of the IT infrastructure team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.
  • Support team growth through coaching, training, and skill development.
  • Vendor & Project Management
  • Manage relationships with key technology vendors and service providers.
  • Lead infrastructure components of IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and security standards.
  • Balance innovation with responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
  • Operational Support
  • Participate in IT Team on-call rotation duties to support systems outside of normal business hours (1 week approximately every 2 months).
  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, modified, or removed as organizational needs evolve, at the discretion of the Chief Information Officer.
