Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in datacenter, server, and storage administration.
  • Broad expertise in infrastructure technologies, including: o HPE, Cisco, Dell, Lenovo, NetApp o AWS, Azure, GCP o Kubernetes and container platforms o Linux and Microsoft Windows Server o Virtualization/VMware, server clustering o Microsoft Active Directory o Enterprise backup solutions o Networking protocols and architectures
  • Experience designing and supporting new datacenter construction or expansion projects.
  • Proficiency with high-speed networking topologies and datacenter testing methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid on-premise and cloud infrastructure architectures.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to design and propose solutions for complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Cloud & Container Infrastructure Operations
  • Design, build, and operate scalable infrastructure in public cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Monitor cloud resource utilization and recommend cost-effective operational strategies.
  • Define and execute strategies to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of cloud and container environments.
  • Datacenter Operations Management & Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with datacenter and server room operations teams to manage infrastructure efficiently.
  • Provide operational leadership for new datacenter and server room design and upgrade initiatives.
  • Oversee system and environmental monitoring to ensure uninterrupted services.
  • Implement best practices for datacenter operations to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues.
  • Manage infrastructure assets and maintain overall operational status for datacenters and networks.
  • Define and document architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices for datacenter solutions.
  • Server, Storage & Network Management
  • Design, build, and operate high-performance server, storage, and network systems.
  • Analyze requirements and recommend appropriate server, storage, and network specifications.
  • Establish operational management processes to optimize system performance and reliability.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and proofs-of-concept for server, storage, and network solutions from external vendors.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with networking, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless infrastructure integration.
  • Participate in company-wide infrastructure initiatives as a systems specialist and solution provider.
  • Optimization & Research
  • Monitor IT resource utilization and develop continuous optimization plans.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices across cloud, container, server, storage, and datacenter domains.
