About The Position

In need of a infrastructure engineer to backfill a critical role on the Server Infrastructure Management team after the departure of our consultant. This position supports the stability, availability, and performance the core technical infrastructure, including storage systems, VMware virtualization, backups, and disaster‑recovery processes. With a new manager stepping into place, the team is seeking a strong technical SME who can quickly integrate, maintain operational continuity, and reduce risk across the environment.

Requirements

• Deep experience with enterprise storage technologies and architectures
• Strong VMware engineering skills (ESXi, vCenter, HA/FT, clusters)
• Proven ability to execute backup and disaster‑recovery plans
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Experience with automation or scripting (PowerShell or Python preferred)
• Strong communication skills to support a transitioning leadership team
• Design, implement, and support SAN, NAS, and DAS storage environments
• Manage VMware ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA/FT, and virtual networking
• Oversee day‑to‑day performance, capacity, and health of the virtualized server environment
• Execute backup and recovery strategies
• Perform routine testing
• Ensure compliance with security policies
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Support the team through on‑call rotations for critical incidents
• Identify opportunities for optimization and automation using scripting
• Collaborate with cross‑functional technical teams across the department
