About The Position

The IT Infrastructure Engineer I maintains and manages the daily operation of HC3's computer network infrastructure to maximize operational efficiency and productivity, while minimizing downtime and disruptions for end users. This role also provides technical oversight and guidance to other IT team members and applies specialized knowledge and skills to resolve escalated end user support issues and complex requests.

  • 2 years of experience in the IT field
  • Intermediate experience with system hardware, software, and operating systems
  • Experience with cloud solutions such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and AWS
  • Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy administration
  • Knowledge of switches, firewalls, and advanced infrastructure
  • Familiarity with server applications such as SQL Server and RDS
  • Experience with voice technologies and phone systems

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate experience with Fortigate and Cisco switches and firewalls, Veeam backup platform, VMware, and AWS

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and administer computer networks and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
  • Assist other personnel with escalated end user service support tickets.
  • Replace faulty network hardware components when needed.
  • Procure network equipment and coordinate with third-party vendors as needed for installations and configurations.
  • Optimize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Administer and schedule system upgrades, vulnerability patching, and firmware updates.
