About The Position

The IT Helpdesk Intern will support the day-to-day operations of the IT Helpdesk by assisting with basic technical support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance tasks. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in an IT support environment while contributing to efficient and responsive service for internal users.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and common business applications (e.g., Microsoft 365)

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets, emails, and phone inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with troubleshooting common issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Support user account management, including password resets and access provisioning.
  • Help install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment setup and retrieval.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and IT procedures.
  • Support inventory tracking of IT equipment and supplies.
  • Escalate more complex technical issues to senior IT staff as needed.
  • Participate in IT projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
