Actively look for ways to make a fast, positive impact. That's why we make it a priority to remind ourselves to create space to celebrate wins, big or small. Job Summary: The IT Generalist sits at the center of everything. You will be the person who keeps the whole company running smoothly - from the dev team to ops to leadership. You will work directly with your manager and a senior team member, who will invest in your growth and make sure you are set up to succeed. This role requires a capable, curious IT Generalist to help keep our devices, infrastructure, and security posture running well as we scale. This is a role with real ownership - you’ll shape how we do things, not just keep them running. A lot of what lands on your plate will not come with a manual. One week it might be trialing a new security vendor across Mac and PC. The next, standing up a logging system from scratch. You will start by working closely with your manager on these problems, and over time you will own more of the research, evaluation, and implementation yourself. The right person has an engineer’s instinct: you want to understand how things work, automate what should be automated, and build durable solutions rather than workarounds. You are energized by environments where things are still being figured out, and you learn fast when given room to run.

Requirements

  • A technical foundation - CS degree, Information Systems, or self-taught. What matters is that you think like an engineer and want to understand why things work, not just that they do
  • Genuine curiosity. You pull on threads, read the docs, and don’t give up when something doesn’t make sense the first time
  • Some comfort on the command line and a willingness to write a script when it would save time - we will help you get better at this
  • Clear communication - you can explain a technical problem to someone who is not technical, without making them feel lost
  • Comfortable with ambiguity - when there’s no clear path, you start somewhere and figure it out
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to any of the following is a plus, not a prerequisite: MDM platforms (Intune, Kandji, Jamf), cloud basics (GCP, Azure), security fundamentals, Google Workspace admin, or HIPAA / SOC 2 concepts. Coursework and personal projects absolutely count

Responsibilities

  • Procure, configure, and manage MacOS and Windows devices for a distributed team
  • Maintain MDM (Mobile Device Management) tooling and ensure devices stay compliant and updated
  • Support onboarding and offboarding - provisioning and deprovisioning endpoints, accounts, and access
  • Monitor and respond to alerts across our security tooling stack
  • Help maintain our security posture through SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance - including documentation, audits, and vulnerability tracking
  • Manage identity, access controls, and permissions across SaaS platforms and internal systems
  • Support the team with networking, VPN, and general infrastructure questions
  • Help manage SaaS tool administration (Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, etc.)
  • Write and maintain runbooks, scripts, and automation to make repetitive work disappear
  • When a gap appears - a new vendor to trial, a platform to stand up - you dig in, evaluate options across Mac and PC, and come back with a clear recommendation
  • Own the full cycle: identify the need, test the options, make the call, implement, and document what you did
  • Use AI tools daily and look for ways to improve IT operations with automation
  • We carve out dedicated time for deep AI work across the company - you might help sales build a workflow to manage outreach, or work with ops to automate a reconciliation process that currently takes hours by hand

Benefits

  • Real mentorship from day one - you’ll work closely with your manager and a senior team member who are invested in your growth
  • Short, focused work cycles with clear goals - you will always know what you are working on and why
  • This role will grow with you: the more ownership you take, the more you will get
