About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on IT Field Services Technician to support and maintain technology systems across our branch locations nationwide. This role is critical in ensuring our offices are fully equipped with reliable, standardized IT infrastructure to support daily operations. You’ll play a key role in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining systems including structured cabling, telecommunications, access control, videoconferencing, and surveillance systems. This position is located in Dallas, TX, and requires 60-80% travel by air and car.

Requirements

  • 6 months to 2 years of experience with commercial access control, camera systems, or telecommunications cabling
  • Basic understanding of low-voltage electrical systems and wiring
  • Knowledge of access control systems and door hardware (maglocks, strikes, etc.)
  • Familiarity with local area networking (LAN)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Low Voltage Cabling, CompTIA A+, Network+)
  • Experience with multi-location organizations
  • Familiarity with tools like Zendesk and Pulseway
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for Windows systems and networks
  • Experience with wireless network installation and testing

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot IT systems and services in branch offices
  • Serve as the on-site IT representative, providing excellent customer service to end users
  • Install and maintain Cat6 cabling, low-voltage systems, and structured wiring
  • Set up and configure network hardware (switches, firewalls, etc.), access control, and camera systems
  • Diagnose and resolve cabling, network, and telecommunications issues
  • Perform cleanup and remediation of outdated or unused systems
  • Deliver, install, and support IT hardware (computers, printers, phones, etc.)
  • Train end users on proper use of IT systems and equipment
  • Partner with stakeholders to support new branch openings, relocations, and expansions
  • Coordinate with vendors to complete installations and services
  • Project manage IT components of branch deployments and upgrades
  • Document work completed, resolutions, and ongoing needs
