About The Position

As an IT Housing Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing information technology projects and initiatives while also maintaining and administering our IT systems in the facility scope (workspaces, access control, printing, etc.). Your role will be administering IT systems and enhancing the environment throughout its lifecycle in the region. You collaborate closely with the facility managers, participate in projects, and manage suppliers. Technologies in scope; Print fleet management, Physical Access Control, Networking, End User Hardware.

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information sciences, or related field and 4+ years relevant work experience (or an equivalent combination of experience and education)
  • Microsoft Certifications, preferably MSCA and MSCE
  • Experience with: desktop and server operating systems, corporate mail system, Active Directory, Group Policies, Windows Scripting, computer and mobile hardware.
  • Technical Working knowledge of Meraki devices and switch administration, active directory, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, WINS, TCP/IP, firewall/NAT, VPN, network security, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and 2012, Office365, Remote Desktop Services.
  • Must have a good general understanding of the various business functions & departments of Ossur and how they interact with our IT systems.
  • Must be able to prioritize business problems and ensure that the issues most important to the business receive the appropriate priority.
  • Have strong communication skills both verbal and written. Must be able to converse with business users in non-technical terms and be able to effectively interpret their requirements.
  • Work effectively with other members of both the infrastructure and BIS team.
  • Ability to prepare written and verbal presentations of concepts and proposals to other members of the team.
  • Be willing to work flexible hours in order to execute IT infrastructure initiatives with minimal impact on business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Co-Owner of the IT scope in our facility blueprint and system setup concepts.
  • Maintain contact with the business, internal IT and vendors on the infrastructure to ensure all required usage guidance is executed according to standards & agreements
  • Liaise with stakeholders in relation to improvements, planning or issues and provide future recommendations
  • Monitor, maintain and update the facility tooling infrastructure (workspace, printing, access, signage) to achieve maximum uptime and trouble-free usage
  • Maintain internal documents and knowledge base pages as new functionality is introduced or changed
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on the use of new technologies and systems, ensuring a smooth transition and user adoption
  • Perform basic updates to the systems, maintain user permissions, user roles, profiles, and hierarchies, maintain security and data protection
