About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Mechanical Engineer to join our team, responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities. Our ideal candidate will have an experienced mechanical engineering background with an in‑depth understanding of various mechanical systems, including HVAC, compressed air, vacuum, DI water, plumbing, and site utilities. As a Facilities Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing facility and equipment modifications, ensuring compliance with company and government restrictions. You will gather and review data to inform design decisions, coordinate with architecture/engineering firms, and prepare estimates for construction and facilities acquisition. You will also inspect construction and installation progress and collect requirements from customers. We are looking for a collaborative, detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex mechanical challenges. Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience in Facilities Project Management, Estimating, and Construction Management.
  • Professional Engineer License

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and oversee facility and equipment modifications, ensuring compliance with company and government restrictions.
  • Gather and review data to inform design decisions, including facility specifications, construction feasibility, and required completion dates.
  • Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms to develop design criteria, prepare layout and detail drawings, and manage the design review process.
  • Prepare estimates for construction and facilities acquisition, including equipment, installation, labor, materials, and related costs.
  • Inspect construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Collect requirements from customers.
  • Perform field verification of drawings, load calculations, and pipe sizing.
  • Organize and maintain a record drawing system, coordinating with architecture/engineering firms on releases of as‑built drawings and models.
  • Troubleshoot and solve mechanical/electrical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Increase reliability, determine root causes of failure, develop corrective actions, and monitor effectiveness.
  • Manage outside A&E firms through the project design process, overseeing design review at multiple stages.
