About The Position

Allen Control Systems (ACS) is seeking an IT Engineer, Facility Security Operations to support and maintain ACS’s internal IT environment while playing a key role in facility security operations. This role is primarily IT focused, supporting day-to-day systems, infrastructure, and end-user needs, while also ensuring compliance with government security requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong IT fundamentals, experience operating in secure environments, and prior or current Facility Security Officer experience or an active clearance. This role will partner closely with engineering, operations, and leadership to ensure systems are secure, compliant, and reliable as ACS continues to scale.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Facility Security Officer or in a security-focused role supporting cleared environments, or an active or previously held security clearance.
  • 3+ years of professional IT experience in a systems, infrastructure, or support-focused role.
  • Strong experience supporting Windows and Linux experience is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, endpoint security, and access management.
  • Experience operating in compliance-driven environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

  • Active security clearance.
  • Hands-on experience supporting defense, aerospace, or government contractors.
  • Direct experience with CMMC, NIST 800-171, ITAR, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience supporting secure facilities and classified environments.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on IT support across the organization, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, workstations, and peripheral equipment.
  • Manage user accounts, access controls, and permissions across IT systems.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring security and compliance requirements are met.
  • Maintain and monitor IT systems to ensure reliability, patching, and security best practices.
  • Serve as a key contributor to Facility Security Operations, supporting secure facility requirements and government compliance.
  • Assist with clearance-related processes, access controls, and coordination with security stakeholders.
  • Support compliance initiatives including CMMC Level 2, ITAR, and other DoD security requirements.
  • Maintain IT and security documentation, policies, and system records.
  • Work with vendors to support IT systems, security tooling, and compliance documentation.
