About The Position

We are looking to add an IT Delivery Management Director to join our Information Technology team in West Des Moines, Iowa. Essential Responsibilities: Basic Function: The primary purpose of this position is to lead and oversee the successful end-to-end technology implementation of brokerage services projects and solutions. This role partners closely with the Brokerage Services IT Business Partner and other product owners to ensure business objectives are translated into actionable technical requirements and collaborates with the Chief Technology Architect on solution design and coordination of resources across multiple technology teams. The IT Delivery Management Director is accountable for delivering high-quality, secure, and compliant technology solutions that meet business needs and drive operational efficiency. Additionally, this position directly leads a team focused on data movement, transformation, and integrations, while also working with other technology teams to ensure seamless execution. Essential Responsibilities: Technology Delivery Leadership: Own the technology delivery lifecycle for brokerage services projects, from technical specifications through implementation. Business Alignment: Partner with the Brokerage Services IT Business Partner and Product Owners to ensure clarity and alignment between business needs and technical solutions. Technical Scope & Design: Translate business requirements into technical specifications; collaborate with the Chief Technology Architect to validate solution design. Management Responsibilities Lead and motivate team by: Ensure right talent is in the right role for the success of the organization, which may include hiring and terminating employees. Coach and counsel team members on areas such as workflow, process and procedure, customer service and client consulting. Prepare and conduct performance feedback that defines future goals and objectives and hold employees accountable. Foster a high-performance culture by supporting career development and advancement for team members. Responsible for timesheet management, including responding to PTO/RTO requests and approving timesheets. Participate in compensation decisions for team members, as applicable. Facilitate regularly scheduled meetings to foster teamwork. Attend team and enterprise meetings, as well as leadership training opportunities offered internally and externally. Coordinate initial and ongoing training with Growth & Development and team members on established processes and procedures. Support and maintain standardized processes to ensure efficient and effective quality service according to established quality guidelines. Provide backup assistance for team members, as necessary. Additional Responsibilities: Cross-Team Coordination: Work closely with the Salesforce team and other technology groups to ensure seamless integration and delivery. Resource Planning: Assign tasks, manage workloads, and ensure timely execution of deliverables. Quality & Compliance: Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and performance standards. Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and dependencies to leadership and stakeholders. Perform special projects and other duties as requested. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A strong understanding of data engineering, integrations, and enterprise systems. Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage cross-functional projects. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to understand business analysis concepts. Understanding of techniques used in requirements elicitation, project scoping, requirements analysis, and planning and analysis activities. Basic understanding of Project Management and SDLC processes Ability to be available for work on a daily basis and extended hours as necessary. Ability and willingness to consistently participate in internal and external educational opportunities to enhance knowledge of current insurance topics or relevant system improvements. Ability and willingness to pursue relevant designations and/or continuing education, as appropriate. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull objects. Must be knowledgeable of and comply with HMA's Client Privacy Policy, HIPAA regulations and E&O procedures and policies. Certified in Business Analyst professional (CBAP) or Professional in Business Analysis (PBI) is a plus. Experience: 7+ years of experience in technology project delivery or technical program management. Experience working with Salesforce and other enterprise platforms preferred.
