About The Position

SCOPE OF POSITION: The IT Data Systems Manager is responsible for support staff related to Database and Software Development. We are looking for high-energy individuals with a positive attitude and a drive to learn new technologies. This person will lead Database Administrators, Web Developers, and Software developers to further our data infrastructure and management practices. The IT Data Systems manager position is necessary for the casino to reach its full potential in providing a superior entertainment experience for its guests. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are major duties and are not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive. Lead projects related to Databases, Web Servers, and Software Development Develop new architecture for Database and Software applications Securing Applications created in-house to comply with the latest cyber security measures Ensure SQL and Software Versions are able to be restored. Troubleshoot systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties. Verify all SQL server instances are up, and review SQL Server error logs. Verify all scheduled jobs have run successfully. Create and establish report servers and maintain reporting services. Extract, transform, and/or load data. Answer staff questions in person and via phone on all company-supported applications equipment and software. Knowledge of database queries, database theory, database design, RDBMS, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, SQL, SQL/PSM, Transact-SQL, PostgreSQL. Responsible for refining and automating regular processes and tracking issues. The ideal candidate for the role will be a self-starter and has a high degree of self-discipline to meet business objectives and requirements. Configure servers and databases while preserving data integrity. Ethically handle private data, including financial and/or healthcare data. Maintain confidentiality of the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network and other sensitive information learned while performing duties. Provide Source Code, and Software Versions, to the Gaming Commission Perform other duties as assigned. Must be able to lead and challenge a team for new projects Responsible for training employees; planning; assigning job duties.Fosters and maintains a positive attitude toward the staff, management, and guests Must be able to create and document reports related to version changes, procedure changes, and source code changes PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: The IT Data Systems Manager regularly communicates and exchanges information with coworkers and guests. The IT Data Systems Manager is required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work is performed throughout all areas of the facility where there may be flashing lights and the noise levels vary from quiet to loud depending on the time of day, the specific location, business. The IT Data Systems Manager must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and be able to work in a smoke-filled environment. The workplace is also under constant surveillance both inside and outside the facility. The IT Data Systems Manager may be exposed to the ricks associated with attempting to resolve issues with difficult guest and staff members. Requirements

  • Four (4) year degree in Computer Science or related area from a four-year college or university; or Four (4) years related experience and/or SQL training; or Two (2) years of leadership experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience (6 years).
