And we do it all with heart, each and every day. Position Summary The Build Tech position is a role within Desktop Support. We work with a variety of different Colleagues, Managers and Support teams to achieve common goals. Our days are spent: In support of fulfilling IT Hardware and Software requests for Refreshing computers. We are responsible for ensuring the colleagues computer is converted to the new machine and ensuring their software is installed / data was transferred successfully within a satisfactory SLA time. We are also responsible for working with our colleagues during the warrantee period to help with any issues the colleague may have. The purpose of our role is to ensure every colleague in the enterprise has the necessary IT equipment and software that they need to fulfill their roles and maintain productivity.

Requirements

  • Must be self-directed with excellent follow up and organizational skills
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Excellent customer support skills – must be able to explain technical ideas to a non-technical audience
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and be detail oriented
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements
  • Must be able to lift 25+ lbs. as certain equipment and accessories require lifting and moving

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Windows and Mac troubleshooting are a plus
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and Quickbase are a plus
  • A+ Certification
