About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced IT Consultant to provide strategic and hands-on technical support for a diverse client base. This role is ideal for a seasoned IT professional with 10+ years of progressive IT support experience, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. The IT Consultant will act as a trusted advisor, delivering expert-level troubleshooting, infrastructure guidance, and technology solutions aligned with client business objectives. This position features local travel to the DC Metro/ Northern VA areas 1-2 times per week. #LAT

Requirements

10+ years of progressive IT support experience
Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment experience

Responsibilities

Serve as a senior technical resource for clients, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex IT issues
Deliver onsite and remote IT consulting services across multiple client environments
Assess client infrastructure and recommend improvements related to performance, security, scalability, and cost optimization
Design, implement, and support IT solutions including servers, networks, cloud platforms, and security tools
Lead and support IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, cloud transitions, and security initiatives
Work closely with clients to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
Act as an escalation point for Tier 2/3 support issues within an MSP environment
Ensure adherence to SLAs, documentation standards, and best practices
Maintain detailed technical documentation, network diagrams, and client configurations
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians when needed
Stay current with emerging technologies, cybersecurity trends, and industry best practices
