The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts, with on-call responsibilities as required. Specifically, as the IT Communications Technician I you will: Provides hands-on technical support for the installation, maintenance, and removal of copper and fiber infrastructure in accordance with DEN and industry standards across the DEN campus. Supports the information technology infrastructure used to deliver voice, data, and video services throughout the DEN campus. Diagnoses complex technical issues and resolves them or escalates to appropriate IT resources as needed. Troubleshoots customer issues within established SLA priorities to ensure timely resolution. Supports Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes (MACD) for DEN divisions, tenants/concessionaires, and airline partners. Installs and maintains communications infrastructure to DEN and industry standards, including fiber and CAT cabling, data, radio, video, telephony, DSL, dry pair, and contact closure circuits and devices. Collaborates with Provisioning Managers, vendors, customers, and internal DEN teams to ensure services are delivered according to customer requests. Assists in planning and configuring IT communications infrastructure designs and coordinates vendor installations. Maintains accurate circuit records and procedural documentation. Demonstrates responsible stewardship of tools and test equipment, ensuring proper use, storage, safety, and availability. Provides 24/7 after-hours standby coverage and responds onsite within two hours of dispatch when required. Maintains hardware inventory of PWCS and technology parts/materials, ensuring accurate tracking and job allocation records. Exercises sound judgment and technical expertise when troubleshooting, quickly assessing issues and implementing effective solutions. Escalate issues to appropriate support teams when necessary to ensure timely resolution. Communicates relevant issues and updates to team members to support overall operational awareness.
