We are seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst with very strong SQL capabilities and direct UCPath experience. These two qualifications are mandatory. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting HR and Payroll systems—particularly within university or public-sector environments—and is capable of validatingplex data structures, troubleshooting integrations, and partnering with business stakeholders to support ongoing system operations. UCPath experience must include working directly within the UCPath environment at a UC campus, with demonstrated familiarity across its data model, funding structures,bo codes, FAUs, benefits processing, and payroll validations. This role functions as a technical and analytical lead, supporting Oracle Cloud HCM, UCPath integrations, and related boundary systems. The Analyst works closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and Operations teams to analyze business processes, define requirements, resolve production issues, and ensure system integrity across the HR technology ecosystem. This position involves technology-centered analysis of business practices and processes to design, enhance, and support HR and Payroll systems. Responsibilities include: Conducting detailed process and systems analysis. Designing data, integration, and information architecture solutions. Developing functional specifications and validating system requirements. Creating system design artifacts and user interface specifications. Performing unit, integration, and end-user acceptance testing. Supporting system implementations with documentation and training. Leading or participating in cross-functional initiatives to improve system effectiveness. The Business Systems Analyst is a key member of the HR Technology and Functional IT team. The Analyst: Provides analytical, functional, and operational support for Oracle Cloud and UCPath-adjacent systems. Partners with HR, Payroll, and Operations stakeholders to assess business processes and define system requirements. Creates documentation, workflows, specifications, and testing frameworks. Leads system testing efforts including integration and UAT. Resolvesplex production issues, ensuring data integrity, continuity, andpliance. Supports ongoing enhancements, configuration, and optimization across HR systems. Provides strategic insights on HR technology trends and process optimization. Contributes to the development and maintenance of the broader HR system architecture supporting recruiting, onboarding, performance, learning,pensation, talent management, and workforce administration. The Business Informatics and Analysis department provides essential support for enterprise systems across the organization. Key responsibilities include: Serving as the primary liaison between business and technology units. Driving cloud-focused strategies and system transformation initiatives. Providingprehensive business analysis and requirements management. Ensuring robust IT quality assurance and testing discipline. Delivering data-driven insights to enhance operational performance and decision-making.
