Reporting to the IT Manager of Applications, the IT Business Systems Analyst is responsible for serving as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT. This role supports and leads analysis, solution design, and implementation efforts within assigned systems or projects to ensure business systems effectively support organizational strategy, operational efficiency, and regulatory requirements. The role operates as an individual contributor with a high degree of accountability for assigned systems and initiatives. Essential Functions Perform and lead analysis, design, and optimization of business processes and applications within assigned functional areas. Translate business needs into clear, detailed functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and system specifications. Partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to evaluate, implement, and enhance technology solutions that align with business objectives. Serve as a subject matter resource for assigned business systems, supporting stability, usability, and continuous improvement. Lead and conduct system testing activities, including test planning, execution, coordination of user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation of deployment readiness to ensure successful adoption and outcomes. Responsibilities & Duties Facilitate interviews, workshops, and working sessions to gather and validate business requirements. Analyze current-state processes and systems to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities. Develop functional documentation, process flows, and supporting artifacts. Collaborate with developers, vendors, and infrastructure teams during design, build, testing, and deployment phases. Support user acceptance testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, and defect tracking. Assist with configuration changes, enhancements, and releases, ensuring proper documentation and change control. Provide production support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for assigned systems. Evaluate solution options and provide recommendations based on business needs and technical considerations. Ensure solutions align with security, audit, and regulatory requirements. Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
