The IT Business Analyst is responsible for planning, designing and launching effective and efficient information and operations systems in support of core organizational functions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in IT, business analysis, project management or other related experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or other related fields.
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position.
  • In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience.
  • Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
  • Strong knowledge of Information Technology, Business Analysis and Project Management
  • Strong Influential leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality, trust, diplomacy, and composure.

Responsibilities

  • Meets with decision makers, system owners and end users to define business requirements and system goals, and identify and resolve business system issues.
  • Interacts with technology vendors on the analysis and testing of all new system enhancements and productivity tools.
  • Aid in establishing work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Defines how the scope, goals, and deliverables of IT projects should support business goals, in collaboration with senior management.
  • Ensures compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
  • Test and debug new enhancements delivered by software vendors in accordance with standard operating procedures and practices to ensure proper utilization before implementation of the production system.
  • Creates system design proposals, establishes project timelines and milestones/deliverables using the appropriate tools and effectively manages project teams’ time and allocates resources to ensure deliverables are completed.
  • Conducts project postmortems and creates recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Takes part in the testing of program fixes submitted by technology vendors that are geared to resolving operational problems.
  • Assists with periodic testing and implementation of contingency plans to ensure availability of applications in case of system failure.
  • Coordinates and performs in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
  • Where applicable, designs, develops, and oversees implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
  • Assists employees in solving routine system software, hardware and procedure problems.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
