Job Summary The IT Business Analyst oversees the technical administration, optimization, and ongoing support of the organization’s core budget management and compensation platforms, including OpenComp (compensation management) and Prophix (budgeting, planning, and forecasting). This role serves as a key liaison between clinical and business stakeholders—such as People Operations, Finance, and Leadership, and technical teams. The analyst is responsible for translating complex business requirements into scalable, well‑designed system solutions, with a strong emphasis on maintaining data integrity for sensitive compensation and financial planning processes within the healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Excel Expertise: Strong proficiency with Excel formulas and data manipulation
  • Data Proficiency: Advanced ability to query, transform, and analyze data, with hands-on experience using visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Analytical Reasoning: Demonstrated strength in translating complex business challenges into clear technical requirements and practical system solutions
  • Communication: Skilled in leading requirements‑gathering sessions and presenting technical concepts to non‑technical audiences, including clinical leadership and management
  • Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of developing actionable solutions to complex business problems
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and non‑technical stakeholders, including clinical staff and business leaders
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related quantitative field
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Consultant supporting core financial or human capital systems
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience with enterprise-level compensation, budgeting, or CPM tools such as OpenComp, Prophix, Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Host Analytics, or similar platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Direct implementation or administration experience with OpenComp and Prophix
  • Experience in Compensation and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) domain
  • Experience working in a regulated, non-profit, or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment

Responsibilities

  • Prophix Budgeting Management, Administration & Support
  • System Governance: Support the Finance team in technical administration, enhancement, and governance of the Prophix budget management solution
  • Operational Alignment: Focus on cost centers and departmental reporting relevant to healthcare operations to ensure the system accurately reflects operational needs
  • Technical Maintenance: Conduct regular system updates and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure platform stability and performance
  • Data Validation & Integrity: Proactively ensure the integrity and reliability of sensitive financial data throughout all planning and forecasting cycles
  • Financial Modeling: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of complex budgeting models and forecasting templates to support operational efficiency and grant funding tracking
  • Requirements Engineering: Gather, document, and analyze stakeholder requirements for Prophix enhancements, translating them into detailed technical specifications for development
  • Compensation System Management (OpenComp)
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and primary liaison between People Operations, Finance, and IT for the OpenComp platform
  • System Optimization: Manage the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of OpenComp to accurately support organizational compensation modeling and benchmarking
  • Compliance & Policy: Collaborate with Compensation teams to ensure data integrity, policy alignment, and compliance with internal governance and healthcare regulations
  • Market Analysis: Identify compensation trends and anomalies in benchmarking structures to ensure competitive positioning within the healthcare market
  • Process Streamlining: Participate in cross-functional teams to improve compensation structures across clinical and administrative roles
  • Data Integration & Process Improvement
  • Efficiency Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of existing Finance and People Operations processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains
  • Integration Management: Validate and manage data flows and system integrations between OpenComp, Prophix, and other organizational platforms, such as HRIS and Fabric Analytics
  • Collaboration: Work with the Analytics team to create reports, dashboards, and operational documentation to support data-driven decision-making for leadership
  • Industry Standards: Monitor industry best practices for compensation and financial planning tools, recommending system enhancements while maintaining a focus on data security
