IT Business Analyst – Warranty

About The Position

Mopar is seeking a detail‑oriented and collaborative IT Business Analyst, especially within Aftersales and Service domains. This person is expected to act as a critical bridge between Warranty business stakeholders and IT delivery teams. This role is responsible for analyzing end‑to‑end warranty processes, capturing and translating business requirements into functional system specifications, and supporting the delivery and evolution of enterprise warranty applications in the tightly coupled eco system. The Business analyst will ensure that the warranty rules, claims workflows, integrations, and data flows are accurately implemented to support compliance, operational efficiency, dealer experience, fraud detection, and analytical insights across Aftersales systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in enterprise application environments.
  • Proven experience gathering requirements and supporting applications in Warranty, Aftersales, Service, or Automotive domains.

  • Experience with automotive warranty systems, claims platforms, or dealer service applications.

  • Exposure to analytics, fraud detection, or AI‑enabled warranty solutions is a plus.
  • Experience working with global teams and multi‑region warranty policies.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to warranty claims processing, adjudication, policies, labor operations, and reimbursements.
  • Translate warranty rules and policies into functional requirements, process flows, business rules, and user stories.
  • Map current‑state and future‑state warranty processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, or automation opportunities.
  • Support enterprise warranty platforms and their integrations with dealer systems (DMS), service systems, parts, pricing, and finance applications.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and IT delivery teams to refine backlogs and prioritize enhancements based on business value and compliance needs.
  • Ensure solutions align with Aftersales digital transformation goals and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Define warranty‑related data requirements, validations, eligibility rules, and audit controls.
  • Support data accuracy, reporting needs, and downstream consumption for analytics, fraud detection, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure warranty solutions comply with internal policies, comply with SOXs rules, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity standards.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business SMEs, dealers, and regional teams.
  • Develop test scenarios aligned with real‑world warranty use cases and policy variations.
  • Support release readiness by validating requirements, managing defects, and assisting with change communication.
  • Act as a single point of contact between business warranty teams, IT delivery, vendors, and global/regional stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and requirement reviews with Warranty Operations, Finance, Legal, and Dealer Experience teams.
  • Communicate clearly on scope, impacts, dependencies, and delivery status.
