About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-driven IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst to manage the full lifecycle of IT hardware assets-from procurement through retirement. This position plays a critical role in maintaining asset data accuracy, ensuring compliance, and optimizing hardware inventory processes. The ideal candidate has a solid background in ServiceNow ITAM, CMDB, and hardware lifecycle management, combined with strong analytical and communication skills. This is a fully onsite role based in Vienna, VA, supporting collaboration across IT, Procurement, Finance, and Security teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM).
• Proficiency with ServiceNow ITAM, CMDB, Discovery, and HAM Pro modules.
• Strong understanding of IT hardware components and lifecycle processes.
• Exceptional analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with both technical and business teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with PowerShell or Python scripting for automation or asset data processing.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management, EOX tracking, and KPI reporting.
• Experience with Apptio or similar financial management tools.
• Certifications such as CHAMP, CSAM, or ITIL Foundation are preferred.
• Strong ability to lead process improvement initiatives and drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date hardware asset records in systems such as ServiceNow, CMDB, and HAM Pro.
• Perform asset audits, reconciliations, and data quality reviews to ensure integrity and compliance.
• Support the procurement, tracking, deployment, and disposal of IT hardware assets.
• Collaborate closely with Desktop Support, Procurement, Finance, and Security to align asset processes with business goals.
• Generate reports and dashboards for leadership to support compliance, budgeting, and decision-making.
• Identify discrepancies in asset data and implement corrective actions.
• Support the creation and enforcement of IT Asset Management policies and procedures.
• Conduct trend analysis to identify opportunities for lifecycle optimization and cost savings.
• Assist with ServiceNow catalog testing and ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Provide daily asset inventory updates and manage logistics for new and retired hardware.
• Support internal and external audits related to IT assets and lifecycle documentation.
