About The Position

Hub Group is seeking an Onboarding Specialist. The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for the working directly with the Independent Service Provider and execution of the onboarding workflow for all qualified drivers. Additionally, the Onboarding Specialist assists the Fleet Recruiting Team with the local onboarding experience that is consistent across all departments.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • General computer skills - Microsoft Office, Outlook, AS400
  • The ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced/high volume sales environment

Nice To Haves

  • Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and monitor the completion of all ISP employment background checks and drug screens
  • Initiate and monitor onboarding progress of drivers and helpers tied to new ISPs
  • Validate compliance with state and federal filings through Secretary of State and FMCSA
  • Collect credentials and business documents for new hire ISPs
  • Identify resolution to issues and take actions as-well able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Complete weekly updates to notify field of progress in high need markets
  • Assist onboarding coordinators with drivers and helpers in peak season
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of client requirements for hires
  • Document new hires daily on FFM class list
  • Communicate consistently with recruiters and the field to ensure needs are being met
  • Other duties as assigned
