This Position reports to: IS Manager Drives Business Line USA Your role and responsibilities: This position is a key link between the business users, OT (Operations Technology), IS (Information Systems), and IT (Information Technology) service delivery teams in and for US MO Drives Divisions Site. The IS Network & Technology Specialist – under leadership of local IS Manager and key stakeholders – will help support, evolve, and promote the local IS/IT systems and processes. The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite You will be mainly accountable for: Responsible for supporting the wide area and local area networks, on-premise hosting environment, VoIP telephony services, and overall IT infrastructure for the US Motion Drives Divisions Site (currently sites in New Berlin, WI, Virginia, and New Jersey). Responsible for design, installation, maintenance and assurance of delivery for IT-related hardware and software, as well as presentation and conference room services. Responsible for wired and wireless networking, servers, UPS, desktops, laptops, industrial computers, MFP devices, label printers, RF scanners, mobile devices, video conferencing systems, PA system, Security systems, and digital signage for the factories and offices. Establish strong, productive relationships with local business users, IS team, agreed local IT vendors, infrastructure delivery teams, Information Security, Physical Security, and Facilities to facilitate reliable and continued support in the areas of OT, IS and IT-related investments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience working in IS/IT support role, preferably in a multinational corporation with multiple niche service providers.
  • BS in computer science, network infrastructure, IT management, or related degree preferred.
  • Deep, low-level design understanding of wired and wireless networks, printer architectures, application landscapes, and WAN/LAN topologies.
  • Hands-on experience and conceptual understanding of servers, VMware ESXi, Windows operating systems, SQL database management, and file storage systems.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco Unity and Unified VoIP administration platforms.
  • Experience with configuring, managing and repairing End User Computing (EUC) and mobile devices; experience with Lenovo PCs and iPhones/iOS devices preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of ITIL and ITSM practices, coordinating with managed service providers to achieve service objectives; experience with ServiceNow preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate with various departments and multicultural global teams and excellent oral and written communication skills with extreme customer focus.
  • High capability to troubleshoot devices, software, systems and processes.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
