About The Position

The IS Network Specialist II at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This role involves monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The specialist will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in managing and troubleshooting network systems and infrastructure.
  • Experience with network security protocols and practices.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and software.
  • Strong understanding of network architecture and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Proficiency in configuring and maintaining routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for network security and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure to support business operations.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure network reliability and availability.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to integrate new technologies and improve existing systems.
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration and project management.
  • Perform network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
  • Document network problems and resolutions for future reference.
  • Participate in the management of all network security solutions.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of system and network integrations.
