About The Position

The Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Lead supports the daily execution of pest, pathogen, and disease mitigation strategies across all cultivation areas. Positioned as a direct report to the IPM Manager, responsible for leading the team, ensuring and upholding task structure, reinforcing SOP adherence, and providing hands-on support in all IPM activities. This role requires active participation in daily operations, along with peer guidance, documentation support, and effective communication with the IPM Manager. The IPM Lead helps ensure quality and consistency in field execution and serves as the point person for immediate operational alignment

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in cannabis cultivation, greenhouse production, or IPM-related field. Strong working knowledge of IPM principles, cannabis pests and pathogens, and safe pesticide application protocols.
  • Working knowledge of IPM protocols, common cannabis pests/pathogens, and safe pesticide handling.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow SOPs and support consistent field execution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Biotrack or similar tracking systems.
  • Clean-shaven and able to pass a full-face respirator fit test; willing to work in PPE for extended durations.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders/scaffolding, and working in hot or humid conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • In-progress or completed Private Applicator License.
  • Experience supporting training or team coordination in a regulated production environment.
  • Exposure to structured workflows or continuous improvement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Executes and leads all daily IPM activities, including pesticide applications, biological treatments, room sanitation, and progress reporting.
  • Oversees and participates in comprehensive scouting efforts across propagation, veg, and flower stages.
  • Supports and leads foliar and root sampling efforts for pathogen testing in alignment with facility schedules.
  • Assists in the execution of pre-harvest inspections and trend-based observations to support data-driven improvements.
  • Conducts and supports weekly, monthly, or quarterly air quality sampling in all cultivation areas as part of environmental risk monitoring.
  • Support IPM scheduling by relaying current crop insights and hourly task progress to the IPM Manager.
  • Reinforce real-time execution standards—ensuring teammates understand daily goals, task flow, and plant-stage-specific needs.
  • Validate correct equipment setup, product labeling, PPE adherence, and spray application techniques prior to deployment.
  • Provide on-the-floor guidance to IPM Specialists; help correct technique deviations and uphold process discipline.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires by delivering hands-on training and verifying early-stage competency in SOPs.
  • Ensure accurate, real-time documentation of: Application logs, Scouting reports and pest/disease findings , Barcode health logging and zone notes, Completed tasks / quality output
  • Escalate plant health concerns, equipment issues, or process inconsistencies to the IPM Manager in a timely and concise manner.
  • Maintain and inspect daily-use equipment logs, including maintenance, calibration, and sanitation tracking.
  • Monitors cleanliness, safety, and readiness of all IPM equipment, PPE stations, chemical storage, and designated IPM areas on a daily basis.
  • Supports internal inspections and audits by ensuring IPM logs and workbooks are inspection-ready at all times.
  • Maintain proper signage, labels, and chemical mixing protocols within legal and company standards.
