About The Position

The IPM Supervisor leads the facility's integrated pest management (IPM) program by developing and executing strategies for pest prevention and control across all cultivation areas. This role oversees the monitoring and evaluation of cultivation rooms for plant health from a pest pressure perspective. Leading a team of 2-5, the IPM Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and updating departmental SOPs and training IPM Technicians to ensure consistent, compliant execution of company standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in IPM, cultivation, or a related agricultural role (cannabis experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a team in a production or cultivation environment
  • Strong knowledge of common cannabis pests, pathogens, and beneficial insects
  • Ability to accurately identify pest pressure and determine appropriate corrective actions
  • Experience with pesticide and fungicide applications in compliance with state pesticide regulations
  • Understanding of workplace safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance standards
  • Ability to work in cultivation environments, including standing, bending, and lifting as required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's in agricultural field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in an agricultural facility, greenhouse, or outdoor field work
  • Working knowledge of environmental controls and cultivation environmental monitoring software (Argus preferred)
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to develop, follow, and train others on SOPs and best practices
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and oversee routine scouting of crops to assess plant health, pest presence, and pest pressure
  • Identify common cannabis pests and pathogens, and determine appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Schedule, assign, and supervise daily IPM tasks for a team of technicians, ensuring coverage and accountability
  • Collaborate with cultivation leadership to adjust IPM strategies based on crop stage, environmental data, and facility needs
  • Develop, update, and enforce IPM-related SOPs and train IPM Technicians to these standards
  • Follow all state regulations in accordance with Pesticide label laws
  • Maintain accurate records of pesticide treatments for compliance with EPA and USDA regulations
  • Release, monitor, and evaluate beneficial insect populations and effectiveness
  • Ensure all IPM practices are conducted safely, cleanly, and in an organized manner
  • Take timely and appropriate corrective action to mitigate and control pest populations when such situations arise
  • Take part in scouting, drenching, and spraying as needed
