About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IPM/Fertigation Technician to join our indoor cultivation team. This role requires a dynamic individual who can seamlessly transition between assisting with flower production tasks and performing essential IPM and fertigation duties. The IPM/Fertigation Technician will work closely with the Flower/Fertigation Manager and IPM/Fertigation Leads to ensure the health and productivity of our crops

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some experience in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • A strong interest in cannabis cultivation and a willingness to learn are essential.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in an indoor cultivation environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels.

Responsibilities

  • Aid the IPM/Fertigation Leads in inspecting plants for pests and diseases.
  • Learn to identify common pests and diseases and report findings to the Leads or Manager.
  • Assist with the placement and monitoring of pest management tools like sticky traps.
  • Help prepare and apply pesticides and biological control agents under the guidance of the IPM/Fertigation Leads.
  • Train to independently spray foliar feeds, pesticides, and drenches as needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols and instructions when handling IPM materials.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work area to minimize pest and disease pressures.
  • Help prepare nutrient solutions according to provided recipes.
  • Learn to monitor and adjust pH and EC levels of irrigation water and nutrient solutions.
  • Assist with irrigation system maintenance and operation.
  • Help with the organization and inventory of fertilizers and other supplies.
  • Record fertigation data as directed by the Leads or Manager.
  • Watering, pruning and defoliating plants.
  • Trellising and supporting plants.
  • Harvesting and processing plant material.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized grow environment.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the cultivation team.
