About The Position

Peraton is currently seeking an experienced IO Planner – Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO) for its' Operational Planning, Implementation and Assessment Services Team Location: Fort Meade, MD What You’ll Do: Provide IO core, related capabilities, and sensitive operational support during day‑to-day operations, combat operations, contingencies, crisis action, disaster relief, and exercises. Integrate information‑related capabilities and sensitive activities into operations orders, annexes, and evaluation/assessment plans. Review, analyze, and advise on the impact of national‑level strategies, policies, and joint doctrine. Develop information‑related appendices, annexes, tabs, estimates, and related products across Electronic Warfare (EW), MISO, Military Deception (MILDEC), Cyberspace Operations (CO), Operations Security (OPSEC), and Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO). Research, develop, utilize, analyze, and assess information‑related tools and capabilities across EW, MISO, MILDEC, CO, OPSEC, and IJSTO. Support focused academic outreach, experimentation, and scientific application integration. Provide development, planning, staffing, coordination, execution, and assessment of sensitive activities. Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant planning experience with a BS/BA, or 6 years with an MS/MA. An associate degree with 10 years of relevant experience may be considered. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree (HS + 12+ years).
  • Knowledge of Special Technical Operations (STO) and their integration into joint operational planning, the military decision‑making process, campaign planning, targeting processes, and development/assessment of tactical and operational MISO/PSYOP plans and orders.
  • At least 5 years of STO planning experience at the service or joint level supporting Combatant Commands or Joint Task Forces, with emphasis on cyber operations.
  • Working knowledge of IO, MILDEC, OPSEC, EW, and cyberspace operations, including missions, tasks, warfighting functions, and the integration and synchronization of joint capabilities.
  • Understanding of Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force roles and their relationships to CCMDs for coordinating MISO/PSYOP actions.
  • Experience integrating, coordinating, and synchronizing adjacent and supporting operations with interagency and intelligence community partners, and developing support for related capabilities.
  • Familiarity, certification, or operational experience in: MILDEC OPSEC EW Cyberspace operations Coordinating intelligence requirements
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Current U.S. passport with ability to travel internationally.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to pass/obtain a polygraph (Must be able to obtain a final TS/SCI with polygraph).

  • Current work with USCYBERCOM as a STO planner.
  • Familiarity with core, supporting, and related IO competencies supporting CYBERCOM planning.
  • Proficiency in integrating MISO/PSYOP capabilities into cyber plans and operations.
  • Knowledge of military command relationships and C2 procedures, including the ability to coordinate STO actions and develop policies aligned with C2 principles.
  • Experience coordinating with ACCM Program Managers and Coordinators across DoD, Joint Staff, Military Departments, Combatant Commands, DoD Field Activities, and interagency partners.
  • Ability to advise, negotiate, and persuade managers, military officials, and senior leaders, gaining acceptance of recommended concepts, guidance, and policies.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to brief senior leaders and large audiences using oral, visual, and written formats.
  • Ability to work effectively within task‑organized working groups.
  • Skill in developing and using information products that leverage current and emerging technologies to support planning, coordination, and decision‑making.
  • Experience with joint or combined military operations and interagency coordination.
  • Knowledge of DoD, joint, and Army doctrine, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to recommend changes to policy, force structure, design, and command relationships.
  • Completion of one or more of the following courses: Joint Cyber Operations Planners Course Joint Information Operations Planners Course Defense OPSEC Planners Course Special Warfare Advanced Targeting and Analysis Course Special Operations MILDEC Planners Course Irregular Warfare Course
