About The Position

CAPTRUST is seeking an Investment Strategist who will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for assisting our expanding national footprint of Financial Advisors with a range of investment topics in support of client service and prospect interactions, both in-person (if/when applicable), and over the phone/electronically. Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others: Combine deep technical knowledge of institutional investment topics with effective and adaptive communication skills to present the firm’s capabilities and research on: capital markets, investment managers (traditional and alternative), and industry topics, as well its discretionary investment solutions (OCIO), in support of all types of client profiles but with a primary emphasis on Endowments & Foundations In addition to direct client and prospect interactions, assist Financial Advisors with meeting preparation and relay feedback from the marketplace Participate in the development of research content, training material and programming (written and audio/video), special projects, and assist in the development of Request for Proposal (RFP) responses Combine a passion for capital markets, asset allocation and portfolio construction, direct client-facing experience with a range of client types, attention to detail, and a strong sense of professional curiosity and self-learning, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Travel requirement: Up to 50% (if/when applicable)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (Business, Economics, Finance, or related field preferred)
  • 12 years investment experience with institutional (defined contribution, defined benefit, endowment & foundation) clients, including direct, high-level client and prospect interaction

Nice To Haves

  • CFA strongly preferred (or significant progress toward)
  • Strong knowledge base of alternative investments – Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Private Credit, Private Real Asset
  • Highly organized, with ability to manage and prioritize a number of time-sensitive projects
