About The Position

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and procurement execution. This role ensures materials are received, stored, issued, and replenished efficiently while maintaining data integrity, safety compliance, and strong vendor coordination. The Supervisor serves as a key operational partner to the Inventory & Procurement Manager and acts as a point of contact in their absence.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of inventory management experience.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in data entry and inventory tracking
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, tracking, reporting)
  • Experience with inventory tracking systems or ERP software
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast‑paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory or lead experience in inventory or procurement
  • Experience working with purchase orders and vendor management
  • Familiarity with cycle counts, physical inventories, and audit preparation
  • Knowledge of OSHA and warehouse safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse and inventory control activities, including receiving, stocking, labeling, issuing materials, and shipping.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of all inventory transactions in the ERP or inventory management system.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and support monthly and quarterly physical inventories.
  • Investigate, reconcile, and document inventory discrepancies; escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Monitor warehouse equipment condition (scanners, forklifts, shelving) and escalate maintenance needs.
  • Execute purchase orders based on approved requisitions, reorder points, and management guidance.
  • Track open purchase orders and proactively follow up with vendors regarding delivery dates, shipment status, and required documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of potential shortages, excess stock, or replenishment needs.
  • Support research on alternative suppliers, materials, or pricing when directed.
  • Act as point of contact for urgent procurement or supplier communication within delegated authority during the manager’s absence.
  • Ensure inventory data integrity by reviewing daily system transactions, batch entries, and updates.
  • Prepare basic inventory reports including stock levels, usage trends, receiving logs, and cycle count summaries.
  • Provide timely updates to management on inventory risks, trends, or operational issues.
  • Support quality teams by quarantining nonconforming materials and coordinating material review processes.
  • Assist in implementing, maintaining, and improving inventory and purchasing SOPs.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce waste, improve accuracy, and streamline material flow.
  • Support special projects such as system upgrades, vendor reviews, audits, and cost‑saving initiatives.
