About The Position

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for executing day-to-day inventory functions and first point of contact with Inventory and Customer Service staff. Also responsible for collaborating with other RSC departments and shifts.

Requirements

  • Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office and inventory software platforms (Word and Excel)
  • Knowledge of inventory terms and commonly accepted practices

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a logistics related emphasis, preferred
  • Previous demonstrated leadership role strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Determine work procedures, prepare daily work and count schedules.
  • Expedite workflow for the Inventory Control department.
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs.
  • Create and track key performance indicators related to inventory management.
  • Conducts daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems.
  • Develops and implements inventory control procedures.
  • Coordinates and manages daily physical cycle counts.
  • Trains and manages an inventory control team to include issuing written and oral instructions to team members.
  • Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
  • Interview and hire new employees.
  • Identify opportunities to reuse or recycle materials to minimize inventory movement
