About The Position

TOMMY HILFIGER is a globally recognized lifestyle brand, established in New York City in 1985, known for its modern uniform of accessible luxury. The brand encompasses TOMMY HILFIGER and TOMMY JEANS, along with licensed product categories, and engages with culture through F.A.M.E.S. (Fashion, Art, Music, Entertainment, and Sport) via global campaigns and partnerships. The Inventory Manager leads a team of 2-3 Inventory Planners responsible for merchandise allocation. This role involves utilizing the SAP system to create and maintain store sales and stock plans by class, allocating merchandise based on store sales, receipt, and inventory plans, and managing store inventory levels to maximize sales, gross margin, and inventory turn. The manager also provides quantitative analysis to support business needs and inform future purchases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Business, Finance or Economics, preferred
  • 4-7+ years of allocation/merchandising/planning experience, preferably in a vertical retail environment
  • Strong retail math and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and communicate allocation strategies that maximize sales and profitability objectives for company
  • Reviews and executes planning and allocation strategies for multiple classifications on a weekly basis
  • Responsible for monitoring allocation of categories in assigned department
  • Strategically allocates product to retail locations across US and Canada
  • Manages sizing profiles and analysis for all retail locations
  • Team leader within cross functional teams
  • Oversees performance of and furthers communication between Planning, Allocation and Merchandising
  • Reviews regional opportunities, reviews best seller items weekly
  • Understands and uses retail and financial performance metrics (same store sales, department level comps, dollars per square foot) to set and develop strategies for achieving inventory goals
  • Oversees Min/Max maintenance for designated store/product groups
  • Monitors timelines for execution of merchandising plans
  • Monitors shipping timelines and communicates with Logistics Planner to find solutions to logistical and operational issues which impact inventory levels
