The Inventory Control Specialist controls inventory of finished goods needed to fulfill forecasted sales and scheduled distribution plans. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or equivalent related work experience.
  • 2 years experience maintaining physical inventories, conducting cycle counts, and basic warehouse operations.
  • Working knowledge of ERP and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and apply problem solving tools effectively.
  • Maintains knowledge of safety and environmental regulations as they may pertain to work assignments.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Advanced systems skills and working knowledge of MS Office, with advanced Excel knowledge
  • Must have the ability to create and conduct presentations for team members of all levels.
  • Ability to communicate with others to exchange information both orally and in writing.
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or qualified U.S. Person in accordance with ALU 22CFR 120.15.

Nice To Haves

  • Current forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Experience with multiple types of material handling equipment (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or pallet jack).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee bay audits, reconcile discrepancies, and investigate inventory shortages.
  • Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity.
  • Responsible for completing physical inventories and daily/weekly cycle counts.
  • Maintain inventory as required by production schedules and/or customer orders.
  • Manage all transfer activity between warehouses.
  • Investigate shortages of other items found during work order kitting or shipping functions.
  • Maintain adequate records and orderly files on all transactions and activities
  • Act as the subject matter expert for all inventory related matters
  • Ensure that actual inventory figures are within established variance guidelines to general ledger figures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, and other teams to proactively address inventory challenges.
  • Maintain expired inventory reporting and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support new process implementations related to inventory management.
  • Generate and analyze reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Train team members on best practices for inventory control.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time based on the needs of the company.
