Summary The Inventory Control Specialist I controls the inflow and outflow of the material inventory, performing both physical and system transactions to ensure optimal inventory availability and integrity. Reporting Relationships The Inventory Control Specialist I reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic analytical and mathematical skills required.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
Frequent bending and twisting required.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as defined by process.

Nice To Haves

Procurement, Inventory Control or Manufacturing experience preferred.
Understanding of inventory control methods and techniques preferred.
Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools, primarily Microsoft Excel & Outlook.
Obtaining forklift certification is required. Tosoh will supply training.

Responsibilities

Follow process documentation to control the inflow and outflow of material inventory.
Utilize ERP system to keep physical inventory factors aligned with system inventory data.
Perform stocking, organizing and storage/put-away activities to ensure inventory is available and ready for use.
Complete inventory counts per a defined schedule and supplies inventory adjustment feedback to the Warehouse Manager based on results of inventory counts.
Assist in investigation of found inventory discrepancies and shortages to determine root cause and execute corrective action process.
Assist Warehouse Manager in maintenance of inventory control metrics.
Work with buyers and requisitioners to resolve delivery discrepancies, quality issues and returns.
Demonstrate flexibility of schedule when pursuing training opportunities to achieve personal and company objectives.
Understands and adheres to all safety requirements. Communicates identified risks to leadership and assists in resolution.
Completes all 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Contributes to culture through alignment with company values and code of conduct. Maintains a positive attitude, displays enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicates effectively and professionally with team members.
