This position assists with ordering and inventory control, and provides a diverse array of administrative and supply chain job duties. Responsible for overseeing the perpetual inventory in assigned warehouses, maintaining a computer-based inventory management system/stock master, Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) levels and managing daily cycle count activity. Works closely with the clinical leaders, physicians and department staff to assure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment for procedures. Responsible for working with the procure-to-pay team to resolve backorder problems with items, and inform the end-users of delays in product availability. Assist in coordination of new product trials with physicians, clinical staff and vendor representatives, and with product conversions and standardization initiatives in assigned warehouse locations. Review requests to add items to assigned locations and inform customers of the acceptance or denial of the requests. Responsible for overseeing product recalls in assigned warehouses and for providing information on recalled items to purchasing in a timely manner. Depending on location, may be required to achieve inventory turnover rates as assigned per location and fill rates to customers of 99 percent as related to perpetual inventory. Assist in end-of-fiscal-year audits by outside auditing from and manage other year-end duties for a successful fiscal year-end inventory of assigned warehouses. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel required

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Associate degree or post-secondary education and previous inventory experience preferred
  • Inventory management systems knowledge helpful
