JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Interventional Radiologist • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Oklahoma City, OK • Service Setting: Inpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: Long-Term Contract (Ongoing) • Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00a – 4:30p • On-Call Shift Schedule: Rotating call (1 week every 4–5 weeks) | Weekdays 4:30p – 8:00a | Weekends/Holidays 24-hour call • Call Type: Phone/Pager • Call Ratio: Approximately 1:4–5 • Call Response Time: 15 minutes by phone; 60 minutes onsite • Callback Rate: Approximately 3% COVERAGE DATES • Ongoing coverage • Long-term assignment potential PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults • Rounding: Included • Phone Consults: Yes • Case Mix: Interventional Radiology procedures including vascular, venous, hepatobiliary, thoracic, and image-guided interventions FACILITY INFORMATION • EMR System: CPRS • Office Equipment Available: Siemens Artis Pheno system; Philips Allura Xper SD • Support Staff Available: Three nurses, five radiology technologists, and one Interventional Radiologist (Service Chief) • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Arterial diagnostic and interventional procedures (PTA, stent, thrombolysis, embolization, TACE) • Venous diagnostic and interventional procedures (TIPS, stenting, thrombectomy, filter placement) • Venous access procedures (tunneled and non-tunneled catheters, ports) • Dialysis access management (angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis) • Hepatobiliary interventions (biliary drainage, cholecystostomy, stenting) • Thoracic interventions (chest tube placement, pleurodesis) • Image-guided procedures (biopsy, drainage, tumor ablation – RFA, cryo, microwave) • Musculoskeletal procedures (lumbar puncture, joint injections, moderate sedation) JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active unrestricted license in any U.S. state • Board: Board Certified in Interventional Radiology (ABR) • DEA: Required • Certifications: BLS, ACLS • Experience: Fellowship trained in Interventional Radiology • Other Qualifications: NPI required; no history of license restrictions or disciplinary actions DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures • Provide inpatient consults and procedural care • Participate in call rotation and respond to emergent cases • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams • Ensure timely documentation and adherence to facility protocols
