Under the direction of District Interpretive Services Supervisor or the Farm Center Interpretive Supervisor, this position will observe, help and eventually present public programs or portions of programs, learn front line registrations and speaking with visitors. This position may learn best practices in animal care, trail work, gardening and invasive species removal. This position performs a variety of professional and technical duties related to interpretive programs and operation of nature centers, farms, and museums for assigned district. To qualify for a college internship: Students must be enrolled as a student in an accredited college or university and provide proof of enrollment upon hire. Students who are not currently enrolled in school due to summer break must provide proof of continued future enrollment (e.g. enrollment in the fall will qualify). Students must perform work that is related to their formal academic program. College interns must provide the company with all the guidelines required by their educational institution.
