About The Position

The role of Laser Computational Modeling and Simulation Scientist will focus on the developing simulations and models that can be used to predict laser performance for future EUV Sources. This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology. You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. Your Assignment Work with team to define new models or improvements to current models Define how to create/improve model for review by team Determine effort level and technical risk of work prior to starting Implement planned work in computational model Define data needed for anchoring model Review model performance vs measured data Create documentation that describes functionality, implementation and use of model Other duties as assigned Job description subject to change at any time

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a degree in a physical science (Physics, Optics, Material Science) with a minimum of 2 years completed.
  • Knowledge or experience using programming and scripting languages (Matlab, python, C++)
  • Familiar with principles of lasers and optical systems
  • Ability to break down complex problems in to clear plan for solving
  • Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents.
  • Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrate open, clear, concise and professional communication.
  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using commercial modeling software (Zemax, CodeV, COMSOL, etc) is preferred but not required
