This is a paid internship with a pay rate of $15.00/hr. The Public Health Preparedness Intern will provide administrative support with public health preparedness efforts to ensure a ready public health workforce and a robust preparedness program built on proactive planning. The mission of the Public Health Preparedness program is to build and strengthen our workforce’s abilities to effectively respond to a range of public health threats, including infectious diseases, natural disasters, and biological, chemical, nuclear, and radiological events. Efforts focus on enhancing all hazards planning and direction, coordination and assessment, surveillance and detection capacities, risk communication and health information dissemination, telecommunications capabilities, and education and training. They will engage directly with the community through outreach initiatives while also supporting internal functions that strengthen response readiness and enhance workforce development.
