About The Position

The Internet Sales Manager (ISM) is responsible for leading all digital and inbound sales activity, including internet leads, phone calls, chats, and text communications. This role owns the CRM process, speed-to-lead, appointment discipline, and digital-to-showroom conversion, ensuring consistent execution and accountability across the internet sales team. The ISM is a hands-on leader who drives performance through structure, coaching, KPI management, and close partnership with Sales Management and F&I.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of successful sales experience in a dealership environment (powersports, automotive, RV, or marine preferred)
  • 2+ years of internet or BDC sales leadership experience with a proven ability to manage and develop teams
  • Strong track record of exceeding sales goals and driving digital sales growth
  • Deep understanding of CRM systems, lead management platforms, and inventory control software (eLeads preferred)
  • A data-driven mindset with the ability to translate numbers into actionable insights
  • Polished communication skills and a customer-first mentality
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership setting
  • Must be able to safely and efficiently move through the dealership premises—including indoor showrooms, vehicle lots, and service areas—while maintaining awareness of moving vehicles, customer foot traffic, and showroom displays.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time at work station

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing internet sales team to consistently exceed sales targets and conversion goals
  • Analyze lead data and KPIs to optimize the performance of individuals and the department as a whole
  • Own and refine the internet sales pipeline, CRM processes, and inventory workflows to maximize efficiency
  • Ensure timely and professional communication with all online customers
  • Oversee customer satisfaction metrics and resolve escalated issues to maintain a top-tier buying experience
  • Keep your team sharp by leading onboarding, training, and performance development sessions
