The Opportunity : UCF Global seeks candidates for an International Travel Safety Coordinator to join their team. The International Travel Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting UCF’s commitment to the health, safety, and security of students, faculty, and staff participating in university-sponsored international travel. This position manages the international travel approval and registration process, provides emergency contact support, and ensures compliance with university policies and best practices for risk management abroad. The Coordinator serves as a key resource for travelers, offering guidance on health, safety, and crisis response protocols. Classification Title: International Safety and Security Coordinator

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6) .
  • Applicant must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer, as sponsorship is not available for this position, now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in higher education, international education, emergency management, or similar.
  • Excellent customer service experience and people skills.
  • Familiarity with Terra Dotta is a plus.
  • Knowledge of office practices and common technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated clear and effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and maintains the international travel approval process at UCF, including related data and reporting requirements.
  • Assists with 24/7 response to international incidents affecting UCF travelers.
  • Coordinates with various offices on and off campus in order to assist with communications, support, travel insurance, and potential evacuations as it relates to students, faculty, and staff traveling abroad.
  • Assists with risk assessments of specific international travel locations/destinations for university-related international travel activities.
