THE OPPORTUNITY The Intern with the Chipotle Business Development team will play a vital role in supporting the international expansion efforts of Chipotle into new countries and territories. This internship provides a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects that blend strategy, creativity, and data analysis.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a business program at a top university.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Being a Chipotle fan is a requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • International experience in a personal or professional capacity
  • Experience and/or interest in the restaurant and food industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify local trends, price sensitivity, and cultural nuances that may impact brand perception or messaging.
  • Competitive Landscape Analysis: Map out how the brand fits into the local food system by identifying key fast-casual competitors and their local strategies.
  • Digital & Social Review: Assess how to build local relevance in international markets based on social platform usage, creator culture and credibility, and engagement metrics.
  • Localization Assessment: Evaluate brand pillars and assets against local expectations to identify what should be localized and any relevant sensitivities or risks.
  • Go-to-Market Recommendations: Translate insights into an actionable launch strategy and high-level marketing timeline.
  • Presentation: Create compelling presentations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
