About The Position

The International Business Development Analyst supports the organization’s global public policy and regulatory strategy by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting international legislative, regulatory, and geopolitical developments. This role provides strategic insight on foreign government actions, trade policies, defense and security regulations, and multilateral frameworks that may impact business operations, market access, and long-term growth. The analyst works cross-functionally with legal, compliance, business development, and executive leadership teams to assess risks, identify opportunities, and help shape engagement strategies with foreign governments, regulatory bodies, and international institutions. Through thoughtful collaboration and informed analysis, the role contributes to strengthening the organization’s global presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or related field
  • 2–5+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, international relations, or regulatory analysis
  • Strong understanding of international governance structures and trade frameworks
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex regulatory issues into clear business implications
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. government security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze federal, state, and international legislative and regulatory developments affecting highly regulated industries, including government contracting environments
  • Conduct forward-looking geopolitical risk assessments, including analysis of regional security dynamics and global policy trends
  • Evaluate the operational and strategic impact of proposed laws, regulatory changes, and political transitions on company growth and market access
  • Assess economic potential, bilateral relationships, and business development opportunities across assigned countries or regions, recommending strategic courses of action
  • Conduct political economy analyses to assess market entry feasibility, sovereign fiscal capacity, procurement structures, and diplomatic alignment
  • Map key stakeholder ecosystems—including ministries, government agencies, embassies, and multilateral institutions—to inform engagement strategy and negotiation preparation
  • Support the development and execution of international government engagement strategies aligned with organizational objectives
  • Prepare briefing materials, policy memoranda, advocacy documents, and executive-level presentations
  • Coordinate and support meetings, trade missions, industry events, and targeted outreach initiatives with U.S. and foreign stakeholders
  • Support outreach with government representatives, policymakers, and institutional partners
  • Contribute to organizational positions related to public funding, regulatory frameworks, and policy priorities
  • Provide policy briefings and support drafting of materials in coordination with external advisors
  • Partner closely with Business Development, Communications, Legal, and external partners to align engagement strategy and ensure compliance
