Internists with the Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM) provide comprehensive, patient centered care for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses in a progressive outpatient setting. They are also provided the opportunity to grow the next generation of physicians through hands-on instruction of residents, fellows, and medical students. GIM prides itself on a team-based care model in which physicians and Advance Practice Providers (NP/PA) work together to provide empathetic and collaborative primary care. Successful candidates will demonstrate not only their comprehensive clinical knowledge, but their ability to build long lasting, trusting relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. We seek candidates who are equally compassionate and comprehensive in their care, and enthusiastic to teach this approach to groups of dedicated and eager learners. This position is full or part time, 25%-100% This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. Contact with vulnerable populations that are non-minors (does not pertain to physicians/providers who work with minors): This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law every four years. Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Assistant Professor. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.
