Requirements

  • Medical license registration certificate for the state of New York.
  • DEA license registration certificate for the state of New York.
  • Completion of an accredited internal medicine residency program.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate physical and psycho-social health status of adult patients via medical history and physical examination.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions within the internal medicine specialty.
  • Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and other adult health conditions.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests, consultations, and recommend therapeutic measures.
  • Provide patient education and preventive healthcare to adult patients.
  • Offer clinical direction to healthcare team members.
  • Adhere to clinical policies, infection control principles, and confidentiality standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Direct and evaluate medical students, as applicable.
