About The Position

Why this role matters: This role directly impacts store performance, profitability, and team engagement by developing Store Directors and ensuring exceptional operations across the district. Location/Schedule: This role is based in the North Dakota market , with a Monday-Friday schedule . The District Manager spends about four days in stores and one day working from home for planning and reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of retail management experience with progressive responsibility, including multi-unit oversight.
  • Strong leadership and coaching ability with proven success developing teams and improving performance.
  • Operational expertise in areas like inventory, foodservice, waste control, and customer experience.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and analyzing P&L results.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills , able to manage tough conversations confidently.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • Previous convenience store or foodservice leadership experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor Store Directors to drive accountability, leadership growth, and engagement.
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with Maverik standards, policies, and safety requirements.
  • Analyze P&L results and operational metrics to identify performance opportunities.
  • Partner with Food Service teams to improve product quality, waste control, and profitability.
  • Implement company initiatives and business plans across all stores in the district.
  • Conduct regular store visits and quarterly off-cycle shifts for visibility into all operations.
