About The Position

Datadog is seeking an Internal Communications Program Manager to evolve and oversee our internal knowledge ecosystem. As we integrate AI tools into our daily workflows, the quality, structure, and accessibility of our company data have never been more critical. We are looking for a strategic thinker who has strong, informed opinions on information architecture and the operational experience to build the policies that govern it. The ideal candidate is a cross-functional leader who can secure buy-in for new standards, ensuring our internal knowledge is not just archived, but curated for an AI-enabled future. You will serve as the architect of our internal "source of truth," leveraging metadata, tagging strategies, and ownership audits to keep our information clean, current, and future-ready. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager of Internal Communications. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture, the relationships and collaboration it builds, and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

Requirements

  • Experienced managing complex, large-scale information or knowledge management projects that require alignment across diverse business units.
  • Knowledgeable about information architecture, specifically how people (and machines) find and consume information.
  • A tenacious program leader with strong stakeholder-management skills who can explain the "why" behind technical documentation standards to non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable using data and platform analytics to identify knowledge gaps, measure engagement, and drive strategic content decisions.
  • Energized by emerging technologies (Generative AI, LLMs) and understand how structured data fuels modern productivity tools.
  • An excellent communicator with a sharp eye for content quality and strong editorial judgment, ensuring that internal communications are clear, professional, and effective.
  • Familiar with technical writing, documentation workflows, and engineering communication techniques in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and promote standards and best practices for governing internal communication platforms (Confluence, Slack, Google Groups, Zoom Digital Signage, etc.).
  • Lead the evolution of our company-wide knowledge base, ensuring content is structured to enable internal AI tools to deliver accurate information at scale.
  • Establish and promote companywide standards for internal documentation, including lifecycle management, tagging and metadata, etc.
  • Convene and lead a cross-functional stakeholder council to champion knowledge-management best practices and empower teams to maintain their own “data hygiene.”
  • Partner closely with Enterprise IT to ensure that internal AI and search tools are sourcing from high-quality, verified data.
  • Create the training, playbooks, and enablement materials that allow Datadogs to navigate and contribute to our knowledge ecosystem effectively.

  • Generous global benefits
  • Intra-departmental mentor and buddy program for in-house networking
  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)
  • Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing
