We are looking for an Internal Knowledge Management Intern to fill a paid 10-week summer internship. The intern can be an undergraduate student, graduate student, or recent graduate (between 2024 and 2025). This position is home-based in the United States and will provide a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between academics and real-world work. We offer an orientation, professional networking opportunities, and real-world work experience. This position will support the Business Strategy and Operations team, part of TNC Marketing and Communications (MAC), and will deliver processes and solutions for over 400 MAC team members. In this role, the intern will make a tangible impact by improving how information is organized, shared, and accessed, helping colleagues across TNC work more efficiently and collaboratively in support of our mission. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity and is excited to shape how teams find, share, and use information at scale. The role will also offer the intern the opportunity to see into the inner workings of one of the largest environmental non-profits in the world, develop operational and digital systems skills that will be valuable and transferable to nearly any work environment, and connect with colleagues in different teams across TNC. The intern will be responsible for documenting, creating, and sharing processes and procedures for managing internal Marketing and Communications resources. Under the guidance and support of Business Strategy and Operations team colleagues, the intern will review the current systems in place for internal knowledge management at TNC and utilized within Marketing and Communications, provide an overview of findings and recommendations, and create a guidance document to help team members better utilize and navigate internal resources. The Internal Knowledge Management Intern will play a key role in providing new perspectives and insights on existing systems to organize and share resources. The Intern will report to the Training & Implementation Manager of Business Strategy and Operations.
