About The Position

Hybrid position responsible for developing and implementing internal communications plans and strategies as they apply to the specific business unit or enterprise-wide. Represents Director or Manager, Employee Communications in their absence. Supports corporate, executive and business unit communications, and overall internal communication as it applies to external audiences. Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Employee Communications and VP, Corporate Communications, in support of other internal communications positions. This position reports to the Director or Senior Manager, Internal Communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 8-years experience in communications, journalism or a related field
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, including verbal and written
• Ability to synthesize and communicate complex issues to various stakeholders
• Ability to think strategically, develop and communicate effective solutions to complex challenges
• Demonstrated success as a strategic business partner and leader
• Proven ability to hold self and others accountable to established performance standards

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in communications or related field
• 5-7 years experience in internal communications and publications
• Knowledge of the business and energy industry

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective communication of business unit and corporate messages to employees across the organization.
• Directly interface with business partners to ensure consistent and aligned messaging.
• Produce accurate, compelling, and editorially proficient written communications.
• Manage a variety of communication tasks to support leadership, including talking points, short presentations, and online messages.
• Manage vendor and agency relationships in the development of collateral and execution of projects.
