Job Description: Job Title: Internal Audit Specialist Department: Internal Auditing FLSA: Non-Exempt General Function Performs administrative duties for the Internal Audit department. Assists auditors with audit preparations, performs inventory audit procedures and test of transactions Core Competencies Partnerships Growth mindset Results oriented Customer focused Professionalism Reporting Relations Accountable and Reports to: AVP, Auditing Positions that Report to you: None Primary Duties and Responsibilities · Completes and reports on issues regarding inventory audits · Compiles materials for store audits. Prepares and sends out store audit confirmation letters when necessary. Send audit reports to store directors · Identifies sample and completes various procedures for Accounts payable, Repair, Benefit Plan, AR Card, EFT Returns, 401K, ICR, Cash Receipts, and Tax Savings plan test of transactions · Answers telephone and sorts incoming mail · Sends request for follow-up information and responses · Reports to work when scheduled and on time · Postal Commission audit Secondary Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate pool car reservation schedule Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics Commitment to the Hy-Vee Mission and a willingness to promote the values of the company Good verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and interact with other people in a friendly, professional manner Ability to identify problems, develop and execute solutions Ability to interact with basic computer systems, including word processing, spreadsheet and email applications, as well as job specific programs Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; 4-year degree in related discipline preferred. 1-3 years related previous work experience Physical Requirements Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions Working Conditions The duties of this position are performed in a general office setting Equipment Calculator, telephone, copier, Fax, and PC with Microsoft Office programs Contacts Has occasional contact with store personnel and customers Confidentiality Has access to confidential information, including invoice prices.
